Anti-Backflow Meter Core Analysis
Definition:
The anti-backflow meter is a crucial intelligent instrument in power supply and distribution systems. Its core function is to detect current flow direction, prevent reverse current flow, and ensure stable and safe operation of power grids in the predetermined direction.
Operating Principle:
Its operation logic is based on real-time monitoring of current and voltage. Through built-in current and voltage sensors, it continuously captures current and voltage data from the circuit and determines the direction of current flow. Once reverse current is detected, the meter immediately issues an alarm signal. Meanwhile, it can coordinate with the inverter through the control unit to adjust its output power to prevent reverse flow. In special cases, it can directly cut off the circuit to prevent damage to electrical equipment and eliminate safety hazards.
Main Functions:
1.Real-time Monitoring: Captures current and voltage data in circuits in real-time, providing basis for system operation.
2.Reverse Current Detection: Quickly identifies reverse current phenomena and issues alarms, notifying users or related systems for timely handling.
3.Communication Interface: Equipped with communication interfaces to enable data exchange with external devices such as inverters and monitoring systems, supporting remote monitoring and management.
4.Control and Regulation: Can work collaboratively with inverters in certain scenarios, adjusting output power to avoid reverse current risks.
5.Equipment Protection: Monitors reverse current to reduce damage caused by reverse flow, extending equipment lifespan.

Introduction to Acrel Anti-Backflow Meter Series
This series serves as a high-cost-performance core equipment for household photovoltaic, energy storage, and micro-inverter systems, specifically designed for "generation-storage-consumption" collaborative management and control. With bidirectional measurement error ≤±0.5%, it has passed European and American authoritative certifications, ensuring accurate energy efficiency accounting and effectively avoiding the risk of reverse power transmission. The anti-backflow response speed is ≤100ms, capable of linking inverters with EMS systems to flexibly regulate power, absorb surplus electricity, and ensure compliant system operation. In terms of installation and operation and maintenance, it features an 18mm ultra-thin rail design, plug-and-play wiring, wide voltage weather resistance, and low power consumption; with flexible communication options, ADL400W supports RS485/WiFi dual communication, ADL400M supports Bluetooth dual communication, both can be optionally equipped with LoRa, facilitating remote monitoring and data management, making it the preferred accessory for household photovoltaic and small-scale energy storage projects.
2.ADL400N Series (ADL400N-CT, with optional current specifications: 80/120/200/300A)
As a rail-mounted multi-function energy meter, its design focuses on new energy generation scenarios such as photovoltaic grid-connected systems, micro-inverter systems, energy storage systems, and AC coupling systems. With bidirectional measurement capabilities, it can achieve household distributed photovoltaic energy management, and communicate with inverters or energy management systems (EMS) to complete operations such as anti-backflow control, power generation regulation, and battery charge and discharge management. The product combines high-precision, small size, and fast response speed (≤100ms), meeting the compact installation and efficient operation requirements of new energy scenarios.
Rail-mounted intelligent electricity meter, specifically developed for new energy systems such as photovoltaic grid connection, energy storage, and micro-inverters, serves as the core accessory for household and small/medium-sized commercial distributed photovoltaic projects, capable of meeting low-voltage terminal electricity management needs in multiple fields. The core feature lies in its bi-directional metering function, with active power accuracy reaching class 0.5S, voltage and current measurement accuracy at class 0.2, able to record both photovoltaic power generation and user electricity consumption, while supporting harmonic detection to provide reliable data support for energy efficiency accounting and electricity tariff statistics. In terms of communication, it is compatible with Modbus-RTU and DL/T645-2007 protocols, equipped with dual-channel 485 + infrared communication, enabling remote data transmission, historical storage, and local debugging, and also offering optional temperature measurement function to further expand application scenarios.
Focusing on the three-phase anti-backflow detection requirements for photovoltaic energy storage applications, our series of products each have their own emphasis:
1.ACR10R-D16TE4: With advantages of high precision, fast response, and easy installation, it can achieve power measurement and anti-backflow detection for photovoltaic inverters.
2.ACR10R-D36TE4: Designed specifically for photovoltaic anti-backflow monitoring, it offers more comprehensive functions and wider application scenarios.
3.ACR10RH-D24TE4: A three-phase anti-backflow multifunctional meter with higher functional level, capable of covering more complex application scenarios.
This product is UL certified and mainly suitable for household energy storage and residential energy storage scenarios in North America. Its core function is anti-backflow detection. It is worth mentioning that as a photovoltaic combiner detection device, the AGF series can also be used in intelligent photovoltaic combiner boxes to monitor the operating status of solar panels in photovoltaic battery arrays, measure photovoltaic battery currents, collect the status of lightning protectors and DC circuit breakers, provide relay contact outputs, reserve interfaces for sensors such as wind speed, temperature, and irradiance meters, and upload measurement data and device status through the RS485 interface to achieve comprehensive photovoltaic system monitoring and management.
